Maeder & Newland win high-wind Fuerteventura

Big offshore gusts and sunny skies delivered a barnstorming conclusion to the 2021 KiteFoil World Series Fuerteventura. Max Maeder of Singapore came out on top of a thrilling duel with Axel Mazella from France. Poema Newland of France dominated the women’s division, winning the trophy ahead of Great Britain’s Ellie Aldridge.
Rain clouds played havoc with day three of 2021 KiteFoil World Series Fuerteventura, the wind never settling down sufficiently for any racing.

Three Bullets fire Max Maeder into Early Lead

Fifteen years old but strong as on old ox, Singapore’s Max Maeder was fast out of the blocks at the 2021 KiteFoil World Series Fuerteventura. Three back-to-back bullets in the pre-lunch session of double-lap races launched Maeder into an early and decisive lead.
