IKA regrets to confirm the cancellation of the 2020 KiteFoil World Series due to COVID-19.Despite all effords and the committment of our event organizers, the development of the worldwide  pandemic makes it impossible to organize a safe and fair World Series in 2020.China has announced over the weekend the cancellation of all international competitions (except the 2022 Winter Olympic Games test event). This includes Golf, Tennis, Formula 1, and also the IKA events planned later in the season. We are sure that all our venues in China will be back strong next year.The Traunsee event in September will go ahead…
The team at the International Kiteboarding Association remains in regular contact with all our event organizers to continuosly evaluate the situation of the 2020 championship events.Although we are starting to see the first signs of restrictions on normal daily activities being relaxed, both the legal situation to hold events (with or without spectators) and the international travel situation remain difficult.This update covers event updates, class rule changes, and advise for getting back on the water safely.

Corona Virus Update - 25 March 2020

We all find ourselves in exceptional circumstances globally due to the COVID-19 outbreak, and we truly hope this message finds you well wherever in the world you are at the moment.The team at the International Kiteboarding Association continues to work diligently, despite these difficult circumstances.There are a couple of areas which are affected by the continued spread of the virus, for which we want to give you an update to provide planning safety - as far as this is currently possible.
