First-time victories for Dolenc & Damasiewicz
Young riders Julia Damasiewicz (POL) and Martin Dolenc (CRO) both became first-time winners of a World Series event today at the conclusion of KiteFoil World Series Traunsee in Austria. With only one race completed after three days of competition, the pressure was on to squeeze in as much racing as possible on the final day. With higher than average air temperatures of almost 30 degrees Celsius in Upper Austria, the thermal breeze on the 12km-long freshwater lake struggled to kick into gear.

Three winners in marginal conditions on Traunsee
There were three race winners on day three of KiteFoil World Series Traunsee, although it wasn’t an outcome to please everyone. After no racing the previous two days of scheduled competition, the 6 to 8 knot breeze offered some hope of getting some racing completed. There was never a lot of weight or certainty to the breeze however, with the top of the race course always looking soft near the windward mark.
